Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act, ending marijuana prohibition in the country’s sixth most populous state. This is a tremendous achievement and the first time marijuana sales have been legalized through a state’s legislative process rather than a ballot initiative.
